Buckminster “Bucky” Fuller (1895 – 1983) was an American visionary, designer, architect, poet, author, and inventor.
Throughout his life, Fuller was concerned with the question "Does humanity have a chance to survive lastingly and successfully on planet Earth, and if so, how?"
Notable among his gifts to the world were the
- geodesic dome
- dymaxion map
- dymaxion house
- the world game - wherein the object is to find a way for resource-rich nations to aid those poor in resources.
- the term "spaceship earth"
He was a president of the society known as Mensa.
