Geography class academic, in-class reading: Upfront monthly

The monthly Upfront is a joint production of Scholastic magazines and the NY Times. Designed for advanced teens, it will be used by my students for developing their reading comprehension skills and vocabulary as well as to stay up with global issues.

The magazine is shared across 4 geography classes in order to make an efficient use of the class fee.

The first articles to be focused upon are the "Obama Report Card" and "Back to the Tap," an update on bottled water. We will also target the collection of editorial cartoons in each edition.
