The Iranian president is establishing a nuclear program that is a threat to Saudi Arabia, Israel and, by extension, to the US. He claims that his intent is not to build a bomb, but most of the world does not doubt that an A bomb is exactly what he wants.
If he can use his nuclear capacity to control the Mid East oil supplies, if he can attack Israel, then he is an enormous problem for the US.
